Thanotos, God of Death, is the one who takes your soul when you die and guides it to Reincarnation Hall to be dealt with. He can't take all the people who die there though as he can't be in more than one place at once so he has spectars called Reapers that do this for him. They are not to be confused with his overall name though: The Reaper.
He, like Eve, became lonely over the years and after Eve took a man to be her lover he decided he could do the same. He visited a human girl over and over again when he wasn't too busy and they eventually fell in love and spent most of their time together until she died. When she did he told her the truth about him and asked if she wanted to live with him in the Reaper Mansion. She gladly accepted and became solid when she entered his home.
They lived happily together for a time and had a son who would grow up to become the next Reaper. In this way Reincarnations and Reapers are similar as they always have one child, respective to their gender usually, and if they do have another the oldest is sent to Cenore.
Worshipping is the same as well as people usually worship Thanotos or Reapers in general. Most people though see him as an evil God as he takes their loved ones away, these people forget that he is only an escort not the killer.
